Pratyusha Banerjee, the popular Indian television actress passed away on April 1, 2016. She was born in Jamshedpur on August 10, 1991. She studied from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. The actress won several awards which include, Zee Gold Awards for Balika Vadhu, Most Lokpriya Face Female for TV serials Balika Vadhu, Face of Progress for TV serials Balika Vadhu. She also won the Best Jodi along with (Shashank Vyas) for TV serials Balika Vadhu and Best Actress for TV serial Balika Vadhu.
She was quite popularly known as Anandi of Balika Vadhu. The 24 year old talent was also a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and participated in Bigg Boss 7. She has worked in TV series like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Hum Hain Na as the lead female actor. The passing away of the young actor took the TV and the film industry by surprise. She was declared dead soon after she was taken to Kokilben Ambani hospital in Mumbai. The reason behind her death is mysterious but it is suspected to be suicide case.
